Sovereign AI
What makes AI sovereign.
AI is sovereign when it answers to you: it runs where you decide, on hardware you control, and your data stays inside your jurisdiction. These are the questions that tell the real thing from a label.
What sovereign AI means
The term is used two ways. Governments use it for national capability: models, computing power and skills built at home. For an organisation it means control: the AI it relies on runs where it decides, on terms no one else can change.
Three things settle it: where the model runs, who holds it, and where the data goes while it works.
What makes an LLM sovereign
A large language model is sovereign in use when it runs on hardware you control and every prompt, document and answer stays there. A model hosted by someone else is not, whichever region it is served from: the provider decides what runs, handles your data and can change or withdraw the service.
A model you hold can be checked, kept and run offline. One you rent can only be trusted.
Checking a supplier
The questions to ask, and our answers.
Where does the model run?
On the unit, inside your building. Every question is answered there, and nothing is sent to a hosted service.
Who owns the hardware?
You do, outright. There is no lease, and a lapsed plan never stops the unit.
Where does our data go?
Documents, prompts and answers stay on the unit, and they are never used to train any model. Agents reach only the public services on an allow-list, and each sees only the request made to it.
Does it work with no internet?
Yes. A unit runs fully offline, on an isolated network if you need it. Taking updates needs a connection to our signed update channel.
What leaves the unit when it is connected?
Connected units check our update server for releases and the time. A check-in carries the licence key, hardware fingerprint, activation token, software version, the unit’s hostname and a run counter, and none of your data.
How are updates trusted?
Every release is signed, and a unit installs only what carries our signature.
Whose law applies?
Arsenale Limited is registered in England and Wales, and our agreements are governed by English law.
Arsenale
Sovereign AI on a unit you own.
Arsenale units bring a frontier-class model, an agent workforce and Syntex OS onto hardware you own, for government, defence and regulated work where the data cannot leave.
